Too much orange juice may raise skin cancer risk

A US study has associated orange juice with the risk of melanoma, but the Florida Department of Citrus is urging caution over ‘careless coverage’ of the findings. The authors of the study from Brown University, Rhode Island, also emphasize that citrus fruits are still considered healthy – but add that consumers should be aware that skin becomes more light-sensitive after consumption.
