Mierlo / Seoul – The colour of industrially processed food and beverages is one of the most decisive buying criteria. The appearance determines the first impression of a product and is a crucial indicator of taste and quality. At the same time, consumers attach great importance to a healthy, natural diet and are highly sceptical of artificial additives in food and drinks. The GNT Group, leading global provider of Colouring Foods, offers manufacturers a perfect solution to combine vivid colours with naturalness: they simply colour food with food.
From 16 to 19 May, GNT will once again be at Seoul Food in Seoul (South Korea) to present its Colouring Foods range at stand 8B203. Colouring Foods are concentrates obtained exclusively from fruit, vegetables and edible plants by using only gentle physical methods. Chemical solvents or other synthetic additives are strictly excluded from the production process. The family-owned company will demonstrate that thanks to Colouring Foods colourants are no longer necessary to impart food and drinks with bright, stable shades. At stand 8B203, visitors will have the opportunity to experience the application of Colouring Foods first hand via live demos of imparting ice cream with various colours.

“Even though consumers expect products to look colourful and appealing, they still want their ingredients to be natural. Our worldwide survey shows that colourants – whether they are artificial or natural – do not meet these demands. In fact, 42% of the 5,000 interviewees only consider colours obtained from edible natural foods as truly natural”, says Victor Foo, General Manager GNT Singapore Pte Ltd. “Our EXBERRY® Colouring Foods provide manufacturers with an alternative to colourants that is not only utterly natural, but also offers a competitive advantage as communicating them on the packaging can significantly increase brand preference.”
At their stand, GNT will be joined by their distribution partner for South Korea A One Caf Co., Ltd.
