La Fogata Grill in the Short North has closed. The closing was announced last summer; Cincinnati-based The Eagle, owned by the same group behind Bakersfield, announced intentions last summer to open a location in the space.
RAM Restaurant & Brewery announced it will open a location in the Bridge Park development in Dublin; the company has already committed to opening a spot in the Short North as well, next to the recently redeveloped Donato’s at First Avenue and N. High Street.
The Jolly Pirate Donuts at 3293 E. Broad St. in Whitehall closed on Jan. 30. Two other locations — one in Reynoldsburg and one in Grove City — remain open.
Big Mamma’s Burritos from Athens has opened a stand between Park Street Patio and Park Street Saloon. The burrito joint initially announced a location on N. High Street in Old North, but plans for it fell through.
Karen, a Japanese sushi and carryout spot, has opened at 5875 Sawmill Rd.
The Hills Market Downtown hosts another Bloody Mary Bacon Brunch on Saturday, Feb. 27 from 9 a.m. to noon.

The Columbus Mobile Food Conference and Expo takes place on Saturday and Sunday, Feb. 27 and 28. Held at the Sheraton Downtown, the conference features speakers and panels focused on the Columbus mobile food scene.
